Non-invasive Stroke Volume-based uid Management in Elderly Patients Undergoing Hip Fracture Surgery Under Spinal Anaesthesia

Primary outcome measures were the time to hospital discharge since surgery and the occurence of complications developed during the postoperative period. Secondary outcomes included the incidence of intraoperative hypotensive episodes (with MAP<65mmHg) in both groups and the requirement of vasoactive drugs to support blood pressure

Effect of Glycopyrrolate on Vasopressors Requirement for Non-elective Caesarean Section Under Spinal Anaesthesia

This is prospective randomised double blind study conducted in parturients planned for non-elective caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia. Glycopyrrolate group will receive 0.2 mg of Glycopyrrolate before start of phenylephrine infusion. Control group will receive 0.2 ml of Normal Saline before start of phenylephrine infusion. Total amount of vasopressors required …

Shock Index Modified Shock Index and Age-related Shock Index for Predicting Post-spinal Hypotension in Elderly Patients

Aim of this prospective observational study is to investigate whether shock index(SI), modified shock index(MSI) and age related shock index(ASI) have any predictive value in predicting post-spinal hypotension which may develop in patients over 65 years of age, who are planned to undergo transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and …

Dynamic Parameters in Evaluation of Fluid Responsiveness

Intravenous infusion of fluids in patients after surgery is a very important part of treatment. However, administering too much or too little fluid can lengthen the stay in the intensive care unit or even harm the patient. Therefore, fluid therapy should be tailored to the individual needs of each patient. …
