Immunity and Safety of Covid-19 Synthetic Minigene Vaccine
In December 2019, viral pneumonia caused by a novel beta-coronavirus (Covid-19) broke out in Wuhan, China. Some patients rapidly progressed and suffered severe acute respiratory failure and died, making it imperative to develop a safe and effective vaccine to treat and prevent severe Covid-19 pneumonia.

Optimizing Outcomes With Physical Therapy Treatment for IndividuALs Surviving an ICU Admission for Covid-19
Introduction: Survivors of acute respiratory failure develop persistent muscle weakness and deficits in cardiopulmonary endurance combining to limit physical functioning. Early data from the Covid-19 pandemic suggest a high incidence of critically ill patients admitted to intensive care units (ICU) will require mechanical ventilation for acute respiratory failure.

Longitudinal COVID-19 Cohort Study
To address these knowledge gaps, the investigators propose a two-center, 225 patient longitudinal prospective cohort study of hospitalized COVID-19 patients with acute respiratory failure. Researchers will perform an in-depth evaluation of inflammatory/immunological biomarkers, and physical, pulmonary, and neuropsychological clinical outcomes during hospitalization, and over 3-, 6-, and 12-month follow-up.
